Scars to Your Beautiful One of her five original tracks featured in the Billboard Charts, including Billboard Hot 100 for Canada, and Billboard 200 for the Canadian Albums Charts. This particular track was special because it was based on an interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans shared their experiences of doubting herself and learning how to be a better person. Cara's music often contains positive thoughts about mental health, and the importance of loving oneself. The music of Cara is directly from her struggle with depression, insomnia and other health issues. According to a Reuters' interview, she has described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. She found that therapy helped her grow and urges others to do the same. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born on July 11, 1996 to parents with Italian heritage. The guitar was gifted to her by her parents when she was 10 years old, which sparked her musical passion. 2013 was the year she recorded some of her most loved songs on YouTube, a popular media platform. It was done to show that she had the talent and confidence to be an artist. Sweater Weather is one of these covers which led to her being noticed at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label allowed her create the songs she wrote herself.
