Alessia Cara
At the age of 19, she debuted her first single, Here. It was an instant hit with both critics as well as the fans were awed by it. It reached number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among the 2015's Best Songs. The same year that she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of her five original songs included on the Billboard Charts, including Billboard Hot 100 in Canada, and Billboard 200 for the Canadian Albums Charts. It was a special track since, in light of the Rap-Up interview that she conducted, many of the listeners could connect to her experiences of discovering their own love and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara's songs contain messages of love, self-love and mental health. Her music is a reflection of her personal struggle in dealing with anxiety and depression. Reuters reported that she called the album "half tumultuous, half perfected". Her growth was aided by therapy. She encourages others when they need to seek support. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. At the age of 10 old, her parents bought her a guitar which became the foundation of her passion for music. She began covering her favourite songs at age 13, to prove to everyone that she had the skills and the determination required to be an artist. Sweater Weather was her most well-known song. An album label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
