Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were two of the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. Her age was just teen when she made her debut in the world of music and was a winner of local contests as early as 10 years old and recording her first album at the age of fourteen years of age. The year 1987 was when she dropped her solo debut album after signing with Rounder Records. In 1989, she was asked to join Alison Krauss & Union Station with whom she performs.
